Tips to prepare for your applications

  • Get started early

  • Keep track of deadlines in a spreadsheet, so you know when everything is due and what you have submitted

  • Write your essays over the summer (if possible) and have at least one person review them

  • Ask your teacher(s) for a letter of recommendation before you enter it electronically

  • Ask for a letter of recommendation early in the process, before the teachers get overwhelmed

  • Put together your list of extracurriculars and achievements
